The Domenici Center is a state of the art facility for the UNM Health Sciences Center that integrates the needs of the College of Nursing, the College of Pharmacy, and the School of Medicine. The Domenici Center includes a human anatomy lab, a clinical performance center, student lounges, a café, a learning center, classrooms, and seminar spaces. Furniture pieces are directly tied into the building’s infrastructure. This includes custom dissection tables in the human anatomy lab that connect to plumbing, mechanical, and electrical components. The package also includes powered workstations and conference tables and the coordination of an intricate audio-visual package. The end result is a fully integrated, collaborative, and engaging environment for students and staff. An inviting, contemplative interior courtyard is the spiritual center of the building and has become a favorite location for students to gather, study, and meet with friends.
