Tübingen District Council Signage

The entrance to the district council offices already speaks an outreaching visual language addressed to the citizens: all of the municipalities belonging to the district point the way in the form of arrow symbols. The length of these arrows corresponds to the distance from the district council offices, while the width of the line corresponds to the respective population.

The rest of the signage system follows this logic. Building components are labelled upside-down on the ceiling, a dot matrix forms letters, figures and pictograms. As a separate layer, the graphic design completes the function of the building and lends it a distinctive look.
