Philadelphia Water Department

With its 25-year Green City, Clean Waters (GCCW) program Philadelphia is a national leader in implementing green infrastructure tools that reduce stormwater impacts and yield great community benefits. PWD is installing innovative tools all over the city that enhance the streetscape while reducing the polluting effects of stormwater runoff.

CGA was tasked with developing an interpretive sign system illustrating the purpose and benefits of  “green tools” such as porous paving, tree trenches and rain gardens which are being implemented at a variety of neighborhood sites including schools, parks and ordinary residential blocks.

Notable: CGA’s Green City, Clean Waters interpretive signs were featured at the 2014 Philadelphia Flower Show alongside a demonstration rain garden.
