Housing in Baracaldo

Urban dwelling project in a block which has been previously designed has been used as the starting point to apply different modifications aimed at reducing the rigidity and conventional appearance of the structure. The curved layout of the main Façade or the reduction of the hight of the ground-floor shops are some of the modifications. The former is designed with continuous horizontal strips, trying to emphasize the horizontality of the structure, while simultaneously absorbing the different sizes of the windows. It is covered with prefabricated panels with a strong texture, made of black gravel. On the ground-floors, v-shaped concrete supports will be used, emphasizing the weight of the building.
