Fossil

This project was a 535,000 SF global headquarters relocation for Fossil’s Lifestyle and Watch brands. The project was an extremely fast-paced consolidation of employees and functions from three separate facilities. Design began January 2011, with construction beginning in May and Fossil’s first move in August 2011. The Corgan team had 3 weeks, over the winter holidays, to complete programming of 64 departments. Due to the changing nature of the retail industry, a flexible planning strategy was employed once the requirements were captured. The output of the visioning and planning then had to be overlaid on the existing building selected for relocation. The selected building, former headquarters for BCBS of Texas, was actually two buildings creating a challenge in meeting Fossil’s primary goal of connectedness. Ultimately all programming, design, and construction documents were completed in four months. The project includes a full-service dining, cafeteria, fitness center and auditorium with gallery and town hall meeting spaces.
