BT House

In the creation of his own house, Guilherme Torres, a São Paulo-based architect, fused the classical and the contemporary to realize a design with modern aesthetics.  “As soon as I saw the gently sloped plot surrounded by other houses, the idea of this large panel came to me, to ensure privacy for both them and their neighbors.”  Thus, this structure of two expansive, brickwork blocks and a concrete upper volume, garnished with columns, gardens, and deliberate walls, comprise the ideal sanctuary for the young architect, his wife, and their two young children.
