The house was a complete gut renovation to restore a townhouse that had been cut into multiple residences and a black box theater on the ground floor into a single family home. The owners are an artist and a children’s book writer and illustrator. The street facade was renovated with new windows which required approval from the NYC Landmarks Commission.
