Area: 122.0 m²
Project year: 2012
The main goal of the apartment design is creation of a minimalist white interior.
Open space is filled with both daytime and artificial lighting.
Hallway is designed in white. Free longitudinal wall is designed to exhibit photographs.
Walls of the living room are also painted white. Floor is made of walnut-wood parquet. Built-in bookcase with prints of paintings by Mark Rothko gives the interior a bright, lively emphasis and identity. As in the hallway, the walls, designed to exhibit artworks, are illuminated with direct light fixtures.
Kitchen design is inspired by the art of Piet Mondrian: composition of two or three bright colors on a white background. Walls are painted white. White cork floor, white furniture: everything interacts with the vibrant colors of paintings and interior elements.
In contrast to the living room and kitchen, bedroom color is designed in delicate pastel tones. Floor is made of bleached oak floorboards. In addition to general lighting, hidden lights are available on the headboard of the bed.
The apartment doors are installed on the entire height of the room in which the only visible part is a door leaf. They are either merged with an adjoining apartment (bedroom), or have a decorative purpose (kitchen, children’s room).
Children’s room is designed based on the tale “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll. The room is decorated with wallpaper with characters from the famous tale.
The apartment is designed in the tradition of ancient Chinese teachings of Feng Shui. The Feng Shui is based on the analysis of the building location, its orientation on the relief and sides of the world, the entrance etc. In the functional zoning of the apartment and orientation to the cardinal, individual characteristics of future tenants are taken into account, zones and directions favorable for them, use of colors which correspond to their leading elements and inner essence.
