Located in an early 1900s firehouse, this progressive medical clinic was in the midst of a major expansion and building renovation and retained MCDto develop identification, identity and wayfinding systems. The existing entry sign was visually lost in busy traffic, and clients had trouble finding the building. MCD designed a landmark—the big “45.” These nine-foot tall letters fit the scale of the building, compete with the signs of its retail neighbors, and provide an easy reference point for staff and patients. The interior, bilingual signage can be updated as clinic functions change. The wayfinding program creates a logical path through the historic building.
