As publisher and co-founder for Architype Media, Martin Schwartz, together with the design and production team has developed the vision and framework for Architype Media and its family of architecture and design resource publications. His mission and passion is to innovate and inspire great design and empower creative potential.
Martin Schwartz studied architecture and design at the University of Texas and Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Switzerland where he received his Bachelors in Architecture in 1987, and worked with Steve Ehrlich at Ehrlich Architects before joining RTKL Associates in Dallas, Texas.
In 1996 Martin Schwartz along with Suzanne Redmond Schwartz and Harry Mark founded RSM Design, an international architectural branding and environmental graphic design studio located in southern California. Over the past 15 years, RSM Design has worked on nearly 400 projects in 35 countries. RSM Design’s projects include urban environments, mixed-use developments, retail, entertainment, and hospitality design.
Martin’s principle centered design approach fosters a sense of connection and integrity that brings clarity and insight to the design solutions. His visionary leadership skills have worked to bring alignment and synergy to teams and projects around the world.
Over the past several years, Martin has worked to develop Architype Media into an interactive web platform for the architecture and design community. His intent is that it will foster an interactive dialogue for innovative design and the creative process. Martin fundamentally believes that great design and innovation is the result of inspired thinking and a flexible yet disciplined process. Through Architype Media he hopes to share this passion to inspire advancement in the next generation of creative thinking.
