greenscreen

greenscreen®greenscreen® is an innovative landscape trellis system that provides endless possibilities for creating “green wall” elements, fencing, screening and enclosures.
Introduced 1993, the project that launched greenscreen®  was CityWalk in Universal City, California. The mixed-use program at CityWalk called for vertical trellising that would create “an inhabited bush” atmosphere, without compromising the waterproof membrane of the building facade.

The design team turned to an existing space frame panel manufactured in Southern California and greenscreen® added accessory items and upgraded the finishes for landscape use. Since that initial project there are now thousands of greenscreen® projects both large and small installed nationally and internationally where vertical landscape elements are required.

Manufactured from recycled steel, this three dimensional welded wire trellis system creates a captive growing space three inches deep to allow plant materials to intertwine and grow within the panel. With the easily adaptable system of attachment clips, the panel can attach to a building facade, span openings between floors, between posts, or mounted horizontally for overhead applications.

The successful projects represented throughout the greenscreen®  website demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability of the greenscreen® trellis system. The panel size can be easily adjusted to custom specifications, create columns, or describe shapes. The “Custom Variations” section of the website represents some of the more sculptural shapes and attachment details developed to fit individual project needs.

When contacting greenscreen®, you will be talking to our highly trained team of architects and designers who consult with architects, urban planners, landscape architects and contractors all over the country regarding their specific project requirements. We are available to answer questions, review drawings, recommend mounting details, prepare shop drawings, provide price quotes or help you place an order.

You can work with confidence with a company that has completed a third-party verified Life Cycle Assessment, produced a complete LEED® NC evaluation for your use, and peer-reviewed the Sustainable Sites Initiative for applicable credits.

Our “resources + downloads” website section has many examples of projects that have been grouped by category and are available in a PDF format for use with your desktop printer to create instant, high quality presentation materials. Also available are CAD Drawings, BIM files and Accessory Details to help with technical applications. The “education + research” section includes links to CEU materials, research summaries, and case studies. This integrated team approach has resulted in high quality installations and repeat customers that realize that the system is only limited by their own imagination.
